Mary Makary, an M.D. and Professor of Medicine at The Johns Hopkins Medical school retweeted a post from Dr. Scott Gottlieb which says that “the wide dispersion in models forecasting the Delta wave (variant of the SARS Co-V2 virus), released by CDC (Centers For Disease Control & Prevention) are deeply disappointing and not actionable.”

Dr. Gottlieb stated “the huge variance in the estimates shows CDC doesn’t know how to model this wave, and has little practical idea whether we’re at (the) beginning, middle, or end” of the Delta variant infection rates.
